MEPEC
MEPEC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to serve the English-speaking community of the Montérégie-Est. We are a referral centre, we connect, collaborate, and facilitate the communication between the target population and English service providers. The English-speaking (ES) population of Montérégie East is our principal target population. Approx. 82% are Seniors and 18% are young adults. Considering we have a large proportion of Seniors, we aim to adapt our communications to their needs.
What we learned:
· Social media should be integrated in the event planning, the coordinators must plan this in advance while planning the activity.
· The content must be tailored to the platform and the audience. Also, real content gets more engagement than generic posters. We should use more reels, live content and human faces.
· Have more interaction on social media, answer people and encourage participation, ask questions to our followers
· Set our social media in the content pillars of 15-20% educate/inform, 70-80% about us, culture and values, 5-10% sales and promotion.
· Start a content calendar with smart goals and consider content segmentation by platform and by target population.

Aline guided the MEPEC team in a discussion series. The mentorship focused on developing a tailored digital content strategy. She provided the participants with the necessary tools to implement their strategy independently. Her coaching includes brainstorming unique multimedia content, planning an editorial calendar, and leveraging a website, newsletters, and social media to attract and keep both internal and external audiences engaged.
