Peintures Sonores
A collaborative partnership with
La Fab sur Mill, Collines-en-musique, and Chelsea Wakefield Studio Tour.
Peintures Sonores is a unique cultural event celebrating the rich artistic heritage of the Outaouais region. The concert was held at La Fab sure Mill on September 27, 2024, and was a multidisciplinary initiative that brought together visual artists of the Chelsea Wakefield Studio Tour and musicians from Collines-en-musique.
These compositions were inspired by the vibrant visual arts presented in the Studio Tour, offering a unique aural interpretation of the artworks on display.
Music by Claude Debussy, John Cage, Gabriel Fauré and Samuel Barber (among others) were performed by 4 musicians, inspired by the paintings, sculptures and photographs of local artists.
The event also marked the launch of the Studio Tour, an ongoing annual event designed to showcase the talent and creativity of artists living in the region.
