Filmmaking 101: Pre-production
Do you have a script or idea brewing that you want to see on the big screen? Not sure what you need to get started? In this workshop, facilitator Becca Redden will take you through the basic pre-production process and answer your questions about independent and low budget filmmaking. Participants will leave with new knowledge on what is needed to get their film projects started. This workshop is intended for new filmmakers and beginners.

Interviewing 101
In this guided workshop, participants will learn how to set up a two-camera interview shot, learning about technique, equipment, set up, audio and lighting. Participants will leave the workshop with an understanding on basic interview set ups and how to reproduce them in various environments.

Editing 101 with Davinci Resolve
Editing your videos doesn’t have to be complex! In this workshop, participants will learn the basics of the free editing program Davinci Resolve. We will explore how to use the different functions to explore basic video editing techniques, such as cutting, motion, volume adjustment, and colour correction. Participants should bring their own laptop, with the software already downloaded (link will be provided).

Green Screen 101
During this guided workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of using a green screen, including lighting, audio, and camera control. Participants will learn the basics of green screen use from start to finish and understand the function, and limits of a green screen and chroma key. This workshop is for beginners or those eager to revisit their skills.
